Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are primary health care practitioners, extensively trained in the promotion of wellness and the prevention and treatment of disease. ND’s believe in addressing the root cause of ‘dis-ease’ and in working with each individual’s innate ability for healing to bring the body back into balance.
NDs may utilize any or all of the following modalities when working with clients to implement an individualized health care plan: dietary and lifestyle counseling, nutritional supplementation, botanical (herbal) medicine, homeopathy, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) including the use of acupuncture, and physical medicine (hydrotherapy, massage, etc.)
