Aimee Mac Manus is the creative director of Elevate Academy of Dance. Aimee has been dancing all her life and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance Studies from the University of Wolverhampton. At present Aimee is studying the ISTD syllabus so she can introduce dance exams to her dance students.
Aimee teaches classes in many styles including Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Hip Hop/Street, Musical Theatre dance, Ballet, Acro-Flex and more.

Elevate like to compete in competitions around Ireland and in the past few years have got to the Hip Hop finals twice, placing 2nd and 3rd. Elevate won 1st place in Lyrical, 2nd place in Contemporary and 2nd/3rd in Jazz and Musical Theatre in their last competition. As the dance crews are currently preparing for their next competition they hope they can dance another medal winning performance?! :-D

As for the performance side of things, the dance school have performed on West End stages two years in a row. 2009 was in the Shaftesbury theatre which was home to the famous musical, Hairspray. The following year in 2010 Dance Factory returned to the West End to perform in Her Majesty's Theatre where Phantom of the Opera is based. It was part of a European dance school show case and the dance school performed choreography by Aimee. While enjoying their time in London, they took a master class by Rudeye the UK's No.1 professional dance agency.

During the dance school year, when they are not preparing for competitions, Elevate performs every St.Patrick's Day or in any festivals held in Mullingar as well as their annual showcase in May.

Aimee introduced the Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy to Mullingar and other areas in the Midlands in 2011. The dance academy was for young children from the age of 3 years+ The dance academy was replaced by the exciting ballet programme called Twinklesteps. It is an introduction to dance which includes, ballet, hip hop and musical theatre dance. It is a fun way to start out in the dance world and it includes props, imagination and creativity which children can experience in a fun & safe environment.

Aimee is currently a dance tutor with the Mullingar Arts Centre for their Stage Schools. She also choreographed for many school variety shows and musicals in the past some including Grease,Our House, Cats, Miss Saigon, Happy Days and Les miserables and Hairspray.

Aimee, herself continues to train and learn new performance skills in dance to improve her dancer’s performance and keep up date with the new and ever evolving dance styles and trends. Aimee recently had a West End performer over from the UK to give a work shop in Matilda and Bodyguard the musical. Elevate has recently introduced a new Acro dance syllabus.
