MVP - Midwest Volleyball Power

Midwest Volleyball Power is a 501c3 non-profit organization based out of Sioux City, IA.




MVP is a club duel-sanctioned under the national organization of USA Volleyball and AAU Volleyball. USA Volleyball sponsors programs and teams for Paralympics, US Olympic Beach and US Olympic Indoor Men’s/Women’s National teams along with Junior’s National competition. The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is one of the largest, non-profit, volunteer sports organizations in the United States. AAU is dedicated exclusively to the promotion and development of amateur sports and physical fitness programs. MVP is the only club in Siouxland to have sponsored local teams in AAU and USA National Junior competitions.

MVP, a 501C3 non-profit corporation, is governed by a board of directors and has an impressive coaching staff that is recruited and hired every year and includes some of the best volleyball talent in the Tri-State area! MVP practices at Longlines Family Rec Center in the heart of downtown Sioux City, IA.

MVP's Club Director, Rick Pruett, has 19 years of head coaching experience at the college level. He also has 20 years of USA Jr. Olympic coaching experience. He has accumulated over 450 wins, has coached 18 All-Americans, and has seen 20 of his former players become high school or college coaches. Coach Pruett believes in teaching the fundamentals of the game. He believes in strong work ethic and team work. Coach Pruett instructs with an enthusiastic style that provides players with a fun, positive learning experience.
