New Earth Mandala is a tropical farm, yoga and mindfulness retreat, and learning center. We created the place to help each community member and guest become the best, clearest, most powerful version of themselves, with the mind body and spiritual skills needed to do their best work in the world.
New Earth is a beautiful place to dive in. We make our home on the Big Island (it's actual name IS Hawaii), the wildest of the Hawaiian chain. We're on a powerful living mountain, Kilauea, an offshoot of the great volcano Mauna Loa.
New Earth Mandala has a quarter mile of ocean horizon; cacao, mango, banana, avocado, macadamia, starfruit, noni, breadfruit, neem and citrus dotting the land. We will open for courses in 2018, and are constructing an immense rebounding dance and yoga floor; tiny temples and pathways for walking and meditating; simple but lovely accommodations befitting the wild and rustic nature of this part of the island; and an art barn and gathering space.

New Earth Mandala is 35 minutes to the airport at Hilo, 15 minutes from the town of Pahoa, great organic food store, small restaurants, basic chain stores and basic services (eg, medical). We’re even closer to the micro-town of Kaimu/Kalapana, with it’s Wednesday night local market (and live music).
We're a short 10 minute drive to the active lava flow trailhead in Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park.
The Mandala is walking distance to weekly ecstatic dances, and driving or biking distance to the incredible warm pools at the other end of lower Puna, great snorkeling at the tide pools, the black sand clothing optional beach at Kehana, as well as the world class retreat center Kalani, which has a wide variety of public classes 7 days a week.
