Jen Avery earned her RYT in 2013 in Costa Rica, completed 1000 hours of teaching for E-RYT 200 in 2016 and attended her RYT 500 in 2017 in Rishikesh, India. She teaches Vinyasa and Hatha, with a focus on decompressing the nervous system through breath and mindfulness. She opened Yoga Stone in Big Sky, Montana in 2014 until 2017, when she and her husband moved back to her home state of Vermont.
