Just For Kix has been around for 30+ years. We have been fortunate to have a program here in Detroit Lakes for 18 years. Michelle Bakken is the director and has been working with Just For Kix for 7 years. She began directing the program in 2011.
Although NOT all Members wish to be Professional Fighters, everyone comes to train hard, get a good workout, and learn.
Our Training focuses on:
Conditioning (Cardiovascular, Flexibility, Mental)
Body Positioning (Leverage, Foot work, Body motion)
Striking techniques (Taekwondo, boxing, kickboxing)
Ground techniques (Judo, Hapkido, wrestling)
The Lakes Curling Club was founded in March 25, 1980. The club started with thirty Charter Members, which included Officers and Board of Directors.
History
Prior to 1980 there were numerous discussions with small numbers of people in the Detroit Lakes area about starting a Curling Club. In the fall and winter of 1979 and 1980, Ed Rotenberger and Vern Turner made a concentrated effort to find out just how much interest there was.

Minnesota Flyers Gymnastics provides gymnastics and fitness programming for all levels. Classes run daily, with open gym on most Saturdays. We also hold birthday parties and can host school groups and other activities.
