My Massage Therapy Practice
Sel is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and a graduate of Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in Toronto. He has been in private practice since 1997 and continues to add to his therapeutic skill base. He has training in Lymph Circulation/Drainage, Hydrotherapy, Nutrition, Joint Health, Rhythmic Mobilization, Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy, , Pregnancy and Infant massage, Therapeutic Touch, Reflexology and Master Level Reiki.
Always interested in a variety of approaches to health and wellness, Sel completed the comprehensive Hospice Wellington Volunteer Training Course “Insights into Terminal Illness, Grief and Bereavement” in 2004 and finished the Upledger Institute's CranioSacral Level 2 coursework in 2008. Most recently and with great impact, Sel completed the Institute of Traditional Medicine's Contemplative End of Life Care program in Fall of 2016. Given the depth of experiential learning within the CEOLC program while also being an Executor for his beloved late Mother, Sel was called to reconstitute the practice of grieving in Community in Guelph. This call brought Sel to Dr Malidoma Some to experience Community Grieving in Florida in September 2016. Sel, with the support of local Elders and like minded others, has been facilitating accessible and inclusive Community Grief Rituals in Guelph since October 2016 as an offering of spiritual and community service.
