Waasegiizhig Nanaandawe'iyewigamig

Our purpose is to serve the Anishinaabe community through traditional and contemporary health care relative to mind, body, and spirit to foster healthy Anishinaabe people and communities.

Waasegiizhig was a healer who lived in the area many years ago. His spirit lives on at Ash Rapids, which is between Lake of the Woods and Shoal Lake, a short distance southwest of the Centre's head office in Obashkaandagaang First Nation. Nanaandawe'iyewigamig means "place of healing".
