Certified Yoga Instructor
Classes Monday and Wednesday's at noon and 5:30
I began practicing Yoga almost 10 years ago for a college course credit. I didn't really understand it then, but I knew it was good for my body. After having my daughter 4 years ago, I realized I had to do something to keep me in shape. I again found Yoga. The most intense form is the Bikram method. Twenty Six Poses in 90 minutes in 105 degrees and about 40% humidity will get you in shape, but I have to say, I thought I was going to die a few times. I recently earned my National Teaching Certification by completing a 200 hour course in Houston.
Not only do I do it to stay in shape, but also to keep my legs, hips and back healthy since I have had injuries to all of them over the years. Yoga has three main elements - Mind, Breath and Body.
Many Doctor's and Therapists recommend Yoga for relaxation and also for physical help in injured or problem areas.
