Practitioner of Reiki-energy healing
Reiki comes from two Japanese words - Rei and Ki - which mean Universal Life Energy.
Reiki is a gentle technique in which the practitioner channels Healing Energy to the recipient. It is not the practitioner who 'heals' the individual; the healing comes from the Universal Life Force that flows through the practitioner. The practitioner uses stationary hand positions on various points of the body and channels the Healing Energy through the palms of the hands. These positions activate the body's natural ability to heal itself. Reiki can be performed with or without body contact.
The main purpose of the Reiki session is to restore and balance the natural life-force energy. It aligns the chakras and channels energy to the organs and glands. It can be used as a form of health maintenance, disease prevention, relaxation, and energetic healing. It can be used to treat physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual distress, whether it is chronic or acute, because it works on all of these levels simultaneously, if needed. It goes deeper than the superficial symptoms and works on the root causes of the dis-ease. It helps the client achieve focus and clarity so that healing can progress.
