As a naturopathic doctor in the state of Maine, I am a family care provider that has a different perspective on health and wellness. Naturopathic practitioners are knowledgeable in both Western approaches and alternative therapies. We consider a person's physical and mental/emotional/spiritual picture when approaching cases. Maine scope of practice allows me to prescribe certain pharmaceuticals if necessary, but generally speaking my first line therapy is diet, exercise, lifestyle change, and other natural remedies (herbs, homeopathics, hydrotherapy, etc). My goal is to help alleviate symptomology but ultimately get to the root cause of your illness. Conditions/populations I work with include but are not limited to:
