Community Dance throughout Gwynedd, Conwy & Ynys Môn
Mae Dawns i Bawb yn sefydliad dawns yn y gymuned i Ogledd-Orllwein Cymru ac yn datblygu darpariaeth dawns dros Wynedd, Conwy ac Ynys Môn. Rydym yn cydweithio a chreu gyda phobl a chymunedau, ymarferwyr dawns amatur a proffesiynol, coreograffwyr a chwmniau.
Rydym yn credu bod pawb yn gallu dawnsio ac yn parhau i ddadlau'r manteision o ddawns i'n cymunedau o fewn y cyd-destyn twf personol, iechyd a lles cymdeithasol, rhyngweithio cymdeithasol a chymunedol a hunaniaeth ddiwylliannol.
Mae Dawns i Bawb yn gweithio gyda pobl. Pobl gyda'u hunaniaeth eu hunain, hanes, credoau, diwylliant, iaith ac angerdd yn ogystal â'u ffordd unigryw ei hun o greu a symud. Ein brwdfrydedd yw ymateb i hyn a'r cyfleoedd y gallan ddarparu sy'n galluogi pobl i fynegi eu hunain trwy gyfrwng dawns.
Nid yw hwn yn gysyniad hawdd. Rydym yn gwybod bod dawns yn draddodiadol yn un o'r ffurfiau celfyddydol sy'n llai cyfarwydd i gymunedau Cymru. Rydym yn clywed yn gyson o bobl yn dweud 'Dwi ddim yn gallu dawnsio,' a 'Dydw i ddim yn deall dawns.' Rydym yn adnabod bod y syniad hwn o ddawns yn bodoli ond yn credu ein bod ni fel sefydliad yn cael y cyfle i newid hyn a dangos i'n cymunedau yr effaith gadarnhaol y gall dawns gael ar fywydau pobl - PAWB.
Ymateb a Pherthynas yn allweddol i'n gwaith. Dyma ble mae proses o ymgysylltu yn dechrau digwydd. Nid yw'r proses yma byth yn stopio. Mae cymunedau, diwylliant, cymdeithas a'r celfyddydau bob amser yn symud ac addasu a byddwn yn parhau i ymateb i hyn er mwyn ein gwaith barhau i fod yn gyffrous, diddorol a phob amser yn berthnasol.
Dawns i Bawb is the Community Dance organsiation for North West Wales and develops dance provision across Gwynedd, Conwy and Ynys Môn. We collaborate and create with people and communities, amateur and professional dance practitioners, choreographers and companies.
We believe that anybody can dance and strive to advocate the benefits of dance to our communities within the context of personal growth, health and social well-being, social and community interaction and cultural identity.
Dawns i Bawb works with people. People with their own identity, history, beliefs, culture, language and passions. People with their own unique way of creating and moving. Our passion is to respond to this and the opportunities that we can provide that allow people to express themselves through the medium of dance.
This is not always an easy concept. We know that traditionally, dance is one of the art forms deemed 'less familiar' to Welsh communities. We often hear of people stating that 'I can't dance,' and 'In don't understand dance.' We acknowledge that this notion of dance exists but believe that we have the opportunity to challenge this and show our communities that positive and life affirming impact that dance can have on the lives of people - ALL PEOPLE.
Response and Relationship are key to our work. This is where the engagement process begins. This process never stops. Communities, culture, society and the arts are always shifting and adapting and we will continue to respond to this in order that our work continues to be exciting, interesting and always relevant.
