Live Pro Wrestling is Ohio's newest Pro Wrestling Promotion located in Fremont Ohio. Family run and family fun for all ages.
It is with great joy and excitement that I would like to announce that I will be part owner of a new professional wrestling promotion based out of Fremont, Ohio. As a lifelong fan and a seven year veteran of the sport, Live Pro Wrestling Entertainment is truly a dream come true for myself. I would like to take this time to explain the company’s journey to this point, our vision, and our goals.
This all started roughly three years ago, when this smoking hot girl (who now just so happens to be my wife and the mother of my children) invited me to a concert at her father’s theater in downtown Fremont. Within seconds of being inside the building, I knew it had potential to be a perfect spot for professional wrestling. Now, fast forward to about a year ago, I started to train for a comeback, all the while pestering my father-in-law George Keller, about maybe running a show at The Strand. As fate would have it, a promoter with whom I had done a lot of business with in the past was looking for a new venue and had reached out to him. So, in March of this year, The Strand hosted its very first wrestling show. It was a huge success, so much so that it has hosted one every month since. That is until this month when on the on the eve of the show, the promoter canceled. Obviously, this left a lot of people very disappointed, but I can promise, that nobody was more upset about it than me. While I appreciate everything the Farhat family and the rest of the AWWL front office has done for me, I knew it was time to move on and go my own way.
All of this leads to September 10, 2016, Live Pro Wrestling has its very first show. In a world where it seems like anybody who watches wrestling on Monday nights, thinks that they can run a show, it is pretty difficult to find a legit independent professional wrestling promotion. For Every WAR Wrestling or RIverworks Wrestling, there are plenty of “promotions” filled with half trained/no training individuals who have no clue about the business. This will not happen with Live Pro. We will have a locker room full of fully trained PROFESSIONALS.
Another popular type of promotion among the indy’s is where a guy who cannot get over on his own, starts running shows, in an attempt to feel like a “star”. This will also not be the case with Live Pro. While I intend to initially be an active part of the roster, starting this promotion is all a part of my exit plan as an in ring performer. I would also like to add that anybody who has ever seen Tim Horner Jr. in action knows that I have no problem getting over BABY!
One more thing that will; distinguish Live Pro from others is quality. I’m not just talking about in the ring, I am actually talking about the ring itself and its surroundings. They say you can tell a lot about a person by the car they drive, well you can tell a lot about a wrestling promotion by the ring they use. With that being said, we have invested in a top notch ring, which will help display our top notch talent. When I mentioned our surroundings, I am talking about our venue and production. While The Strand only seats roughly 200 people and we eventually hope to outgrow it, you cannot take away the fact that it is a perfect venue for a show. Believe me when I say, as a wrestler 200 people packed in a room that seats 175 feels a lot better than 500 in a venue that seats 1000.
The last thing I would like to share is our goals. First and foremost, we want to pack the theater full and have to turn people away on September 10th. We also want to create “raving fans”, people who want to tell people about all of effort we are putting in, which will help us with our number one goal which is to grow. Believe me when I say running shows at The Strand is enough to keep me happy for a long time, but ideally we would love to grow the audience to a point where it isn’t possible anymore.
