At Think Outside The Diamond (TOTD) we train all different people and athletes from many different sports. Our mission is to provide the finest performance systems to effectively help our clients achieve their goals. You might be thinking that TOTD just works with baseball players, in fact we have worked with many athletes from different sports. We evaluate each athlete before we start training with the Functional Movement System as well as hip and shoulder assessment. This system evaluates the “pure movements” of our athletes so if needed we can fix any movement problems that would prevent them from getting the complete value of our training. Once the Functional Movement evaluation is complete, a member of our strength training staff will sit down with the athlete and formulate a training game plan for the specific sport. We will then educate each athlete on proper nutrition and supplementation. Once this is complete we will once again speak with the athlete to make a weekly training schedule that works for them. We recommend, to see profound results that we train with the athlete at least twice a week however 3 times is ideal. We also offer small group training sessions as we do not like to train more than four athletes at a time so we can keep our training as individualized as possible.
We train our athletes with the best training equipment on the market. In a session we will use the Functional Movement System to pin point precise movements. Once we have moved into training we will use the Vertamax Raptor to increase explosion and power. Then the Fitlight system to improve reaction time and optic nerve processing and the Powerplate for vibration training. That is an example of just a few pieces of training equipment we have in the TOTD arsenal. To evolve in the ways we have, we haven’t by any means done it alone. Our strength training staff has studied and spoken with the nation’s top athletic performance coaches. Coach Rick Saggese is an EXOS certified fitness specialist as well as a certified speed coach by Athletes Acceleration.
