Robin Faux, LMT, RMTI

Robin has been a massage therapist since 2003 and an instructor of massage therapy since 2007. In her years of practice, Robin has learned that the stresses of life’s demands can make it challenging to schedule self-care services like massage, so she does her best to remain flexible for her clients.
Robin graduated from Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH with an associate degree in Integrative Medical Massage Therapy. Later, she obtained her IANMT certification in neuromuscular therapy from Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy in Colorado Springs, CO. Most recently, Robin became a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner with the Kinesio Taping Association International.
Throughout her career, Robin has had the opportunity to work with talented bodyworkers and fascinating clients in a number of environments. Most recently, Robin’s practice has provided massage therapy at Spirit of the Mountain Spa at The Lodge Resort as well as her mobile practice, Mobile Medical Massage Therapy. However, she and Jim are excited to build a “brick-and-mortar,” practice at Cloudcroft Therapeutic Massage in the heart of Cloudcroft.
Although Robin enjoys taking workshops to learn new techniques, she loves learning about the intricacies of the human body through her interactions with her clients. She sees each massage as an opportunity to learn about the client’s life and each ache or pain as a mystery to solve through careful listening and thoughtful application of techniques. Her goal in each session is to help the client feel less pain and more relaxation than they did when they entered the massage room.
Jim Swaagman, LMT, MMP, NMT, Reiki Master, NM Lic # 5294
Jim's desire to facilitate healing in others led him to the Humanities School of Massage in Pinellas Park, Florida. He graduated from the program in 2003 as a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist, trained in the Paul St. John method. In 2005 he became a certified Reiki Master of the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage and a certified Medical Massage Practitioner. In 2015 Jim became certified as a Myoskeletal Alignment Practitioner for the lower body.
Jim opened his own successful medical massage practice in Florida, working with a local hospital, physical therapists and other healthcare practitioners.
Jim's career is not limited to his experience in Florida. He traveled to New Mexico and started several successful business's in the village of Cloudcroft. Light Bulb Moment Seminars is a continuing education business for Massage Therapists, also co owned by Robin and was opened in 2009. Jim is also is co-owner of Mobile Medical Massage, a very successful in home massage business that he opened with Robin Faux in 2011. Their newest venture is Cloudcroft Therapeutic Massage, which has been in operation since 2016.
He is currently a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Jim is also a recurring guest speaker at MTTI in Las Cruces, where he is able to impart his extensive knowledge in the field of therapeutic massage on upcoming massage therapists.
With years of experience and training, Jim has developed an effective style of therapeutic massage and is able to functionally assess his clients, in order create a comprehensive treatment plan that is customized to the individuals needs. Jim's unique skill set allows him to effectively treat a myriad of conditions to include, but not limited to:
Headaches/Migraines, Sciatica/Piriformis Syndrome, Shoulder Injuries, Hip Injuries, Knee Injuries, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Foot Pain (Plantar Fasciitis), Neck/Back Pain, Auto Injuries and Stress relief.
When not assisting clients with their needs, Jim can be found hiking one of the many trails near Cloudcroft, or soaking in local hot springs.
