Cumberland Gymnastics and Cheer Training Center is located in Cumberland, MD at the Riverside YMCA.
Cumberland Gymnastics and Cheer Training Center is located at the Riverside YMCA in Cumberland, MD. There is access to the gym through the front lobby and ample parking in the attached lot. Cumberland Gymnastics and Cheer Training Center is under the direction of Karen Phillips. The gym offer gymnastics and cheernastic classes for anyone age 3 and older led by certified coaches with several years of experience. Classes offer cheernastics classes as well as training on floor tumbling, uneven bars, vault and balance beam.
In addition to training in recreation cheernastics and gymnastics, Cumberland Gym and Cheer has both an All-Star gymnastics and cheerleading team as well as classes for those peparing to compete in gymnastics known as Pre-team. Private instruction in both gymnastics and cheerleading is available at an additional fee.
New in 2012, EN Newby will be teaching Hip Hop Dance on Friday evenings for ages 8 and up. Dance classes are $50.00 a month with a yearly registration fee of $25.00. A discount is available for current gym and cheer students.
All interested students are welcome to attend a free trial class. Trial classes are scheduled by Karen at the Cumberland gym location. Contact Karen today at 301-724-3547 to schedule your child's free class!
There is a yearly registration fee of $25.00. Gym fee is $85.00 for 8 weeks. Additional classes each week are available at a discounted rate. At the end of the 8 week cycle, students can re-enroll for another 8 weeks. Re-enrollment is voluntary and indefinite. There is no maximum number of 8 week cycles a student can enroll in.
Currently classes are held Monday through Saturday from 4:00-9:30. Each class is 1 hour in duration. Classes are kept small and seperated by age and ability as well as classes for just boys.
