Harrington Park 5K Annual Fall Spectacular

The Harrington Park 5K Fall Spectacular has been an annual race since the early 1990's with various sponsors including The Lions Club, The Girl Scouts and most recently since 2001 The Community Parks Project and The Sports Boosters. The focus is to raise money for local causes -- student scholarships, play grounds, walks, recreation, ambulance and fire departments as well as periodic devastation donations for Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy.

The annual 5K Fall Spectacular USATF certified and sanctioned is run annually in beautiful Harrington Park and starts at 10 am by the Harrington Park School at 191 Harriot Avenue.

At 9:00 am there is a Kiddie Dash for children aged 6 and under followed at 9:15 by the Mile Fun Run for kids 9 and under.

Long sleeve race shirts will be available for the first 500 pre-registrants while supplies last and Kiddie Dash and Mile Fun Run participants will also receive a regular t-shirt.

Awards include:
Top 3 Male and Female Overall
Top 3 Male and Female per age group in 5 year age groups, 9 & under through 85+
Top 3 Male and Female Harrington Park finishers
Top Male and Female Harrington Park School (K-8) student finishers
Top 3 Harrington Park Fastest Families
The GHW award to the Fastest Man with a plaque in the Harrington Park Library.

Participants, both serious runners and casual racers are welcome from New Jersey and New York.
