Q: Is Naturtint a new brand?
A: No, the Naturtint Permanent Hair Colours are top quality colourants that have been successfully sold across Europe since 1984. They are now available worldwide.

Q: How long does it take to colour my hair with Naturtint Permanent Hair Colourant?
A: It simply takes 20-40 minutes once the colour has been mixed and applied.

Q: Is Naturtint tested on animals and is it environmentally friendly?
A: Naturtint is against animal testing and is manufactured to the very highest, international (GMP) standards of practice, which respect the environment

Q: Can Naturtint be used if the customer has suffered severe allergic reactions to other hair colour in the past?
A: Allergic reactions vary and a skin sensitivity test must be carried out at least 48 hours before application. Naturtint Permanent Hair colorant has been dermatologically tested but in rare cases, reactions can occur. If a customer has ever experienced any swelling, blistering, redness, itching and/or burning after using a hair colorant, then it is likely that they are allergic to PPD's and the product must not be applied. In these cases, consumers may wish to consider Naturtint Reflex Semi-Permanent Hair Colours, provided a skin test is carried out before use. A skin test is an important precaution before the use of any hair dye but users should be aware that even if a sensitivity test has been carried out, an allergic reaction may still be experienced when the hair is coloured. The allergy alert test is not a guarantee of avoiding future allergic reactions. Medical advice should be sought in the case of any doubts.

Q: What are PPD's?
A: They are p-phenylenediamines found in ALL permanent and some semi permanent hair colorants with the exclusion of certain hennas. They add colour to the hair but are severe skin irritants and in rare cases can provoke severe or extreme reactions. A PPD reaction would typically result in skin swelling, burning and blistering in the region where they are applied. Naturtint Permanent Hair Colorant contains minimum levels of PPD whilst Naturtint Reflex Semi-Permanent Hair Colours are free of PPDs. People allergic to PPD or those simply looking to avoid it should also be mindful that PPD has a number of alternatives that carry the same warnings and risk of allergy, such as toluene-2, 5-diamino sulphate and 2-dihydroxyethylamino or derivatives of PPD such as PPD salts and sulphates like N-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine.

Q: Can Naturtint be used by cancer sufferers?
A: We have had excellent feedback from customers who have used Naturtint Reflex after their chemotherapy has finished. Significantly, Naturtint Reflex is free from peroxide and PPD as well as ammonia, resorcinol and parabens. We do strongly recommend any such customers seek medical approval before use. Some months after chemotherapy treatment is completed, many customers move on to Naturtint Permanent Hair Colorant but we strongly recommend that the customer again seeks medical approval as to suitability.

Q: Can you use Naturtint whilst pregnant?
A: Many ladies continue to dye their hair during pregnancy and it is a very personal decision to make. Naturtint provides choice. Naturtint Permanent Hair Colorant is free of two key chemicals - ammonia and resorcinol but Naturtint Reflex Semi-Permanent Hair Colours contain no ammonia, resorcinol, peroxide or PPD.

Q: Can Naturtint be used on other parts of the body?
A: Naturtint is not designed for facial or body hair and should not be used on eyebrows or eyelashes.

Q: Can Naturtint be used on top of previously coloured hair?
A: Most customers have used another colorant previous to trying Naturtint and we suggest wearing that colour for 4-6 weeks before applying Naturtint. We always recommend a strand test before use to ensure the chosen colour brings the desired result. Henna-based colours need to be completely removed from the hair before using Naturtint. Our helpline can then help if any uncertainties arise.

Q: Will Naturtint Permanent Hair Colours really cover Grey Hair?
A: Yes, Naturtint Permanent Hair Colours cover all normal grey hair from the very first application. If your hair is stubborn and resistant to colour, you should leave the colour to develop for the full 40 minutes.
