Rachel Long has 26 years of experience in the Holistic Health field. She is a graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage in 1991. After graduating, she kept her own massage therapy business for 4 years in York, until she decided to further her studies at the Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, Va. and became a graduate in 1996. After becoming licensed in Virginia and was board certified by the NCTMB, she became an Assistant Instructor, for 2 years, in the many modalities offered at the Cayce/Reilly School. Including the Basic Cayce/Reilly Massage Routine, Hydrotherapy, Clinical Massage (Myofascial & NeuroMuscular), Jin Shin Do Acupressure, Sports Massage, Intermediate Massage, Swedish, Reflexology, Therapeutic Touch, and Integrative Therapies and then became an Instructor of the Basic Cayce/Reilly routine, home remedies & diet for 3 years. She also worked with the Meridian Institue on research projects based on the Edgar Cayce Health Readings, teaching patients how to apply Cayce remedies and appliances for health maintenance and curative purposes. While working as an Instructor at the Cayce Reilly School she also worked as a Massage Therapist on Staff at the A.R.E. Health Center & Spa www.arehealth.org/ for 4 years. Rachel is also a Reflexologist and studied Advanced Jin Shin Do Acupressure & a Level I Reiki Practitioner, she does Chakra Balancing with Aromatherapy and has a strong knowledge of General Osteopathic Manual Therapy and Visceral (organs & glands) Manual Therapy. She is a Home Health & Alternative Therapy Consult who will evaluate your Mind/Body & Spirit as a whole and make positive recommendations and demonstrations to improve, prevent and maintain health & vitality. While studying and Assistant Teaching Jin Shin Do in Virginia Beach, Rachel was given the opportunity to instruct the Pal Dan Gum("The 8 Silken Movements" of Qi Gong).These are exercises that she teaches at Artemis 3 times a year as a Once a week,6-week course including Stretching and Meditation, called "Peaceful Mind Limber Body.
