Meet Our Staff at RainCoast!

Kristy Miller:

Kristy studied Vocal Performance and Composition in Chicago IL and went on to Minneapolis MN where she studied arranging, Vocal Pedagogy, Theatre Production and Multicultural Music (Ethnomusicology).

Kristy is an avid singer and performer, a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and a BC Registered Music Teacher. She has been teaching private voice for over 17 years. One of her favorite genres is Musical theatre and Musical Review shows.

Kristy has been vocal coach, vocal director, staging director and choreographer for many youth musical productions over the years. Kristy's students excel at Musical Theatre winning awards and place in the top at festivals, competitions and in exams.

Heather Gordon Murphy:

Heather is an experienced dance and movement artist and has been teaching dance for well over 25 years.

Having grown up in Campbell River, she has contributed her talents both on stage and off to many musicals and reviews including Shoreline Musical Theatre Society and River City Players and The Tidemark's Youth Theatre Program. Heather was also assistant choreographer for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

She has worked with many talented actors, singers, performers and athletes over the years. Heather's infectious enthusiasm motivates those around her to excel. She enjoys helping performance artists find new and innovative ways to explore their creativity. Heather has the ability to work with students of any experience level to help them produce quality dance and movement whether for exams, festivals or just for fun!

Amy Lelliott:

Amy is an exciting and dynamic vocal teacher who has been teaching in the Campbell River area for ten years. She began her music training as a child, then studied voice at the University of Sask. She completed her ARCT in Voice Peformance with the Royal Conservatory of Canada, is a BC Registered Music Teacher and a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Performing is a very important part of Amy's musical career. She currently performs with her Classical Trio "Musicabile" and can also be seen performing vocals with the CampbellRiver "Little Big Band". Last year Amy worked with the Campbell River Children's choir developing a younger choir for the organization. Amy is our young children's specialist! Amy 's passion is her studio. Her students have excelled in vocal competitions, exams and festivals. The musical relationships she has had the opportunity to build with both her students and their parents will keep her teaching and performing in Campbell River for many years to come.

Kristine Isfeld

Kristine comes to RainCoast with an amazing background in dance and teaching. Kristine teaches and works with children and families with special needs through HCOS home schooling. Kristine also has a great background in Speech Arts and is one of our Speech Arts teachers. She is an amazing woman with great things to offer RainCoast and students.

Laura Mudge

Laura is our newest RainCoast teacher and comes to us with a great back ground in Theatre and Acting. Laura teaches our Acting Improv classes as well as Speech Arts. Laura is a creative, energetic young woman and we are excited to have her at RainCoast.
