Jerry Lamoore began his amateur boxing career in 1964. The following year Jerry won the Open Division State Golden Gloves Championship despite being a Novice. In 1966 Jerry joined the Navy where he continued his boxing career as a member of the Navel East Coast Boxing Team in which he became The Atlantic Fleet Champion, The Cruiser and Destroyer Champion of The Atlantic Fleet, Mediterranean Champion as well as the runner up in the All Navy Championship and All East Coast Championship. The Light Foundation is excited to announce their 5k Adventure Race, The Gauntlet on Saturday, August 12, 2017. The Gauntlet is back and participants will have the opportunity to conquer natural and man-made, military-inspired obstacles in what promises to be a fun, MUDDY race. Solo runners, ages 14-up, can run competitively for awards or just for fun and Teams of 5 can work together, aiding each other through the course, to compete for the team awards.
