WHAT IS ENERGY HEALING?
We all know a lot about healing the physical body, however in the age we live in very few of us know much if anything about healing the energy body, or for some, that the energy body even exists.
As an energy healer I am very passionate about sharing this knowledge with others and helping them to understand the importance of caring for the energy body as well as the physical body.
So to start, I'd like to share some background knowledge to make understanding the energy field a little clearer.
There are 4 planes of existence; the spiritual plane which is the highest and simplest, followed by the mental plane, where our thoughts develop, then the emotional or astral plane, housing our emotions and the place we go when we dream, and finally the physical plane, which is the lowest, most complex and makes up the world you see around you as well as your physical body. We have a body that resides in each of these planes, known as the subtle bodies, and these are located in the same space as your physical body. The subtle bodies collectively make up the energy body.
Any disturbance in your life actually originates within the spiritual plane as an energy disturbance in your spiritual body. I like to think of these as past blockages arising for release or soul lessons yet to be learned.
The 4 planes follow the rule of as above so below, so when an energy disturbance arises in the spiritual plane it will begin to affect the plane below it, the mental plane, this manifests as disturbance in the mental body and thoughts that relate to the disturbance. As the mental plane becomes fully affected it will then start to effect the plane below it, the emotional/astral plane. At this time the emotional/astral body will be affected and the person will begin to feel emotions and have dreams that can be related to the energy disturbance that is moving through. This is the point at which some people that are very in tune with their energy body may begin to pick up on the disturbance and start the energy healing process. For most of us however, this is not picked up and the disturbance continues to work its way down into the physical plane. It is at this point that we start to get physical effects. The affected energy or subtle bodies fill the same space as the physical body, so the physical effects will be located to an area that is specific for that kind of disturbance.
(For example some physical ailments of the area around the liver and stomach are linked to emotions of anxiety and depression, this in turn is linked to thoughts of hopelessness and failure and can be attributed on the spiritual plane to a lack of energy or blockage within the solar plexus.)
All these things seem very disconnected, but are in fact located in the same area in the bodies.
It is the role of an energy healer to gather all relative information and use it to 'locate' the energy disturbance within the bodies, in order to clear it.
The physical effects may begin as something simple like an itch or unidentified pain. However as the physical plane is pushed more and more out of alignment, the physical effects will become more severe. The severity of the physical effect is proportional to the amount of energy behind the disturbance. At this point most people will seek physical healing practices. For some disturbances going through this healing process may be enough to complete the cycle and release the energy, allowing the system to normalize once again.
However, for many disturbances until the energy behind it is removed or resolved the physical healing practices simply don't work or only help with the symptoms but don't cure the problem completely.
The answer is a combined treatment. Energy healing will resolve the energy disturbance, and combined with physical treatments to cure the symptoms will resolve the problem completely.
This is where Energy Healers like myself come in. It is our role to detect, locate and remove/resolve these energy disturbances within the energy body. Ideally I would love to see all clients at the point when the energy disturbance enters the physical plane or just before, which would allow resolution of the problem before major illness even occurs.
However, this is not always the case, and in those instances energy healing is a necessary adjunct to physical treatments for complete resolution of the illness.
