Welcome to STARZ Performing Arts Academy. STARZ offers professional instruction in a positive, nurturing environment. Our programs provide well-rounded education with emphasis on technique, performance, and an appreciation of the arts. STARZ currently offers classes for both Recreational and Competitive students in Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Hip-Hop, Stretching & Conditioning, Contortions, Piano, Voice, Tumbling, Acro and Yoga.
SPAA presents two Student Recitals each year; STARZ Christmas Spectacular to be held December 5th & 6th, 2015, and our Spring Recital held in June 2016. Both events will be held at Bluefield High School's Performing Arts Center.
STARZ Performing Arts Academy is home to the Award Winning STARZ Competition Team, comprised of 6 individual Companies. Our company dancers perform locally and compete at Regional & National Competitions. STARZ Pre-professional Companies currently include: STARZ Elite, STARZ en Pointe, Showstopper Company, Starbound Company, STARZ Production Company & STARZ Mini Acro Team.
At STARZ Performing Arts Academy, we are dedicated to the physical, mental, and artistic development of our students. The dedicated, creative faculty at SPAA has over 100 years of combined experience in the arts. It is our goal to help our students express themselves through the art of dance, while also teaching valuable life skills such as teamwork, commitment, leadership, and respect for others. We aim to provide a positive environment for your child to excell at achieving their goals, improving self-esteem and interacting socially in a professional arena.
