Summerhouse is 5 separate centres in one. We are a family owned business set up in 1978 by Sheila and John Weston and run by their daughter, Helen Gallop and granddaughter, Sara Gallop.
Whether you have never sat on a horse or a more experienced rider, we have the horses to suit you here at Summerhouse.
Summerhouse has five core divisions:
Competition and Show Centre
Training and exam provider
Riding School
Summerhouse Pony Club
Livery and a Loan Scheme
Facilities include two Indoor Arenas, 25m x 75m; an Olympic Size Outdoor Arena, Cross Country Course, heated viewing gallery, show office, two classrooms and Computer suite.
There are various activities held at the centre that range from lessons, competitions, clinics, to fundays and pony club camps. We pride ourselves in being a friendly, approachable yard whilst maintaining a very positive attitude to attainment and achievement.
We can help you train towards many qualifications as we are an NVQ training supplier and BHS 'Where to Train' centre for all exams up to BHSI. We hold training courses for each level every month. We also run First Aid, Assessor, Internal Verifier and Transport Qualification Courses.
We are a competition centre for British Dressage and British Show Jumping and we also run Unaffiliated dressage and show jumping every month. We have two competition sets of show jumps and a cross country course. The Olympic outdoor arena is available for hire for shows, rallies and all kinds of outdoor activities.
