Equine sports massage has been proven to relax muscle tension through increased blood flow and oxygen. In addition, it aids in lengthening connective tissue and reducing or “breaking up” muscle adhesions before they become chronic.
I love all animals, but I have always been particularly passionate about horses, and I am constantly in awe of these magnificent creatures and what they do for us. Growing up in the Texas Hill Country, I would seek out any opportunity to be around horses and work with them, and I felt like I had a special connection with them. After riding and competing in Florida for several years, I knew I wanted to do more than just ride. I wanted to be able to say “thank you” to these animals, help them to relax and recover, and be prepared for their next event. Through lots of research and discussions with equine vets and chiropractors, I knew Equine Massage was the answer. I became certified in Equine Sports Massage Therapy through Equissage Texas, and I am in the certification process for the Masterson Method for equine bodywork. I feel so blessed for the opportunity to work with these animals, and contribute to creating happy, healthy horses!
