Toadal Fitness has been in the unique position of being the foremost family owned and operated fitness club in the Santa Cruz community. Our means to provide fantastic customer service and easily accessible, family-friendly environments is unmatched. Our unique group class programming and top notch personal trainers are among the best and friendliest in the industry. Our operations and management teams are knowledgeable and genuinely happy to help you at every point of your experience. Not only will they get to know you, but you’ll get to know them too, as many of our team members have been with us for years. There is good reason for this. At Toadal Fitness, our philosophy is simple- we take care of one another.
OUR HISTORY
1996- Christophe and Cecile, a Husband/ Wife duo, opened their first Toadal Fitness Location In Downtown Santa Cruz, under the name “Frog Fitness.” Being from France, they thought this would be a funny way of paying homage to their country of origin. Frog Athletics Club in San Diego didn’t.
1997- Frog Fitness in Downtown Santa Cruz changes its name to “Toadal Fitness.”
Feb, 1999- A family is born! Christophe and Cecile opened their second club in Live Oak, Eastside Santa Cruz.
January 2004- The Husband/ Wife dynamic duo adopt! Another club with deep roots in the community- Cabrillo Fitness- join the Toadal Fitness Family.
July 2014- The family continues to grow! Christophe and Cecile proudly open their newest club location in Scotts Valley.
Today- The owners continue to be as involved in day to day club operations, and continue to proudly serve the Greater Santa Cruz area in all original locations. Stop in and say hi! You could say you’ve visited a little piece of Santa Cruz history.
