At Dance Zone, we believe in teaching students through our own passion for dance, dedication to the art, determination to succeed, and above all, simply making sure we are all having fun!
Biography: Sarah Absher, Owner & Principle Instructor, began dancing at age 3, developing a love of dance and dedication that has continued for decades. In three decades Sarah has studied: Ballet/Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, and Hip-Hop. She began student-teaching at the age of 16 and was teaching on her own at age 17. Sarah enjoys teaching all ages and all levels and has been teaching in the Tillamook area for 13 years. She has helped produce and choreograph countless local dance recitals and dance productions.
Sarah is also experienced in coaching and preparing students for competitive dance, including choreographing solos, duets, and group dances for regional and national dance competitions. Her students have competed in regional dance competitions held in Portland and Seattle as well as national dance competitions and workshops in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sarah has performed in Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA) productions during her younger years, and has volunteered time recently in TAPA productions as a choreographer and make-up artist. Sarah is also an accomplished vocalist.
Sarah is fortunate to have taught so many amazing students and hopes that she has inspired them as much as they have inspired her. Sarah’s daughter, Abigail, also began dancing at age 3 and possesses a passion for dance.
Sarah dedicates her accomplishments to Abby, family, friends, and students always thankful for their endless love, support, and encouragement.
