In the beginning of 2015 I began my journey into living a natural and chemical free lifestyle. I was introduced to essential oils and their wonderful healing effects. I wanted to incorporate them into every aspect of my life. And since I love making things and being challenged I started to look for ways to make this happen. This opened a door to making my own products.
I began by replacing my health and beauty products. I started with making my own lotion, then medicinal creams, face wash and cream, deodorant, lip balm, and the list just grows and grows!
Next, I expanded my search for chemical free living and began making my own cleaning products. I made a household cleaner, bathroom and toilet cleaners, glass cleaner, room spray, hand soap and the list just grows and grows!
But I didn't find this challenging enough and I wasn't able to express my own creativity. Once I made my jar of wonderful smelling body butter then I was done. I wanted to make more but didn't have a need for it yet. I continued to research more products to make and try. Then I came across a cold process soap tutorial. Wow!! This was exactly what I was looking for.
I have found so much enjoyment in making soap. It has been fun and challenging but most of all I can be so creative. The choices are limitless and the list of possible batches just grows and grows!!
However, making batch after batch of soap is addictive and expensive. I love sharing my creations with others and after a few requests to buy my soaps I decided to start my own hobby business. And this is a great way for me to fund my creativity.
This is the beginning of Regency Soapworks. A business started out of a desire to be challenged, creative and most of all have fun. I really hope you enjoy these soaps as much as I do. I hope you find them beneficial and fun. And I hope you come back for more because using handcrafted soap is just as addictive as making it.
