The first Roger's HairCraft opened in 1975 at 6 Center Street, Geneseo. Roger later moved the salon around the corner to Main Street, where we remained until 2008. In 1982, Roger opened a second Roger's HairCraft in Lakeville, overlooking beautiful Conesus Lake. Roger operated both salons until 2006; later that year, the two salons merged into one on Main Street in Geneseo. In early 2008, Roger's HairCraft Geneseo closed and we moved back to our Lakeville location, where we have been happily established ever since. We currently have eight stylists, including Roger, and two salon coordinators. Roger's HairCraft is fully dedicated to providing a friendly atomosphere, exceptional customer service, and the utmost quality in hairdressing. Roger's HairCraft is a team-based salon; we all work together to give our clientele the best service possible.

Roger began his hairdressing career in his brother's salon at the tender age of fifteen He found that he had a talent and passion for hairdressing, and decided to make it his lifelong career. Roger has been trained in Vidal Sassoon methods. For thirteen years, along with owning and operating his own salons, Roger traveled throughout the United States working as an educator in perming, coloring, and business management for several beauty manufacturers and distributors. Roger opened his first salon in 1975, and has since accumulated over fifty years of knowledge, education, and skill. Roger believes in continued education and attends several hairdressing seminars and classes each year. Roger encourages his staff to provide outstanding customer service and to strive for discipline in their craft. While he enjoys all aspects of hairdressing, he is most passionate about designing the haircut, as it is the foundation for the complete look.

Marilyn has been in the hairdressing industry for forty one years, thirty seven of those spent at Roger's HairCraft. Marilyn has traveled all over the United States attending classes and seminars, most notably to California, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. She is a certified BOCES instructor and was the main educator at Roger's HairCraft for several years. While Marilyn has a vast knowledge and experience in every aspect of the hairdressing industry, she most enjoys helping her clients to feel good about themselves.

Lisa has been with Roger's HairCraft for approximately thirty one years. She spent the first year as a salon coordinator, and then decided she would like to become a hairstylist. Lisa has attended many business and hairdressing seminars, always staying up to date on the latest trends, techniques, and fashions. Lisa has trained side by side with many great artists, among them Randy Rick, Ben De Cordova, Roy Peterson, and Geno Stampora. Through her years here at Roger's HairCraft, she has met many people and created many lasting bonds. Lisa does not see hairdressing as a job; rather, hairdressing is a career that has been extremely fulfilling and exciting. What Lisa loves most about hairdressing is that every day, she wakes up knowing that she will have fun and experience something new and exciting.

Laura has been employed at Roger's HairCraft for 15 years. She has had extensive training in cut and color techniques, and most recently attended a class on hair extensions. Lisa Kay has been employed at Roger's HairCraft for twelve years, when she first entered the hairdressing industry. She stays up to date with the latest styles and trends by attending seminars and hands-on classes. Most recently she participated in a two-day class at the KMS Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. Other cities she has traveled to for education are Chicago, Illinois (MidWest Beauty Show); Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania (Raylon C.A.M.P.); Reading, Pennsylvania (Raylon Updo Class); and several classes throughout the Rochester area. Earlier this year, Lisa Kay was able to train with Randy Rick, a multiple-award winning hair stylist. Lisa Kay has also been a part of several photo shoots put on by Roger's HairCraft Studio. While Lisa Kay enjoys everything about hairdressing, her biggest passion is hair coloring/highlighting and updo styles.

Tara has been a Roger's HairCraft team member for 12 years, thoroughly enjoying everything about her job and the hairdressing industry in general. She has attended numerous classes and seminars, including a "Superior Skills" seminar with Randy Rick in Reading, Pennsylvania; Raylon C.A.M.P. in Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania; and several throughout the Rochester and Buffalo areas. Though Tara is very passionate about her job, she most enjoys hair coloring and upstyles, where her creativity can thoroughly shine.
