At The Elderberry, a community-based herbal apothecary, our mission is to provide a joyful learning experience with a focus on locally-grown herbs and artisan-quality products. Our nurturing staff provides individual consultations drawing from knowledge of Western herbalism, traditional Chinese medicine, and Ayurvedic practices. We love supporting our many gifted VA herbalists and showcasing their local herbal products (including bulk herbs, powders, oils, and extracts) here in the shop. We also enjoy encouraging our community to engage with the plant world by offering a variety of classes that teach students how to identify, use, grow, and create with herbs. When you use plant-based medicine, you’re working toward a healthier, happier lifestyle. Wherever you are on that journey, we’ll be here to offer the support, guidance, and empowerment you need to create a new balance in your life.
