A+K Alchemy is the name that owners, Abby and Kendra, gave to their passion of creating high quality herbal products from native plants found in their local PNW. The real magic begins during the harvesting process. All of the plant material that goes into creating every A+K Alchemy product is hand-selected by Abby and Kendra. They hike, on foot through the landscape, and employ sustainable harvesting techniques to ensure the continued health and proliferation of the plant and its surrounding environment. Not only does this method protect the longevity of their harvesting sites, it also ensures the highest quality end-product through careful scrutinization of each plant and the calculated timing of the harvest.

In addition to being the lead wildcrafters of their own proprietary line of herbal remedies, Abby and Kendra each bring their own unique elements to A+K Alchemy.

Kendra is a life coach and is currently working on a Professional Certification in Aromatherapy. Her passion lies in the intermingling of plant medicine and emotional well-being. Have you ever wondered why a particular scent can transport you back to your childhood? Or why you reach for certain foods for comfort during times of emotional stress? The interplay between what we put into our bodies and the effects of those inputs on how we feel is the premise of what Kendra has dedicated her life to understanding.

Abby is a university student majoring in Biochemistry. She is currently conducting research on the efficacy of plant medicine and its effects on the various systems in the human body. In addition to studying the science behind plant medicine, Abby is also curious about an anthropological perspective. In the absence of modern technology, how did indigenous people come to understand the power of plant medicine? What does that “physiological intuition” look like on the molecular level? The answers to these questions are the bridge that spans the gap between Abby and Kendra’s career pursuit of knowledge.

Together, they create the perfect meld of subjective understanding and scientific reasoning to deliver the best natural products available. If you are interested in learning more about plant medicine, Abby and Kendra also offer a series of informative classes in the community at no charge.
