Masterson Method Bodywork:
Jim Masterson developed this multi modality, interactive bodywork method. In contrast to most traditional modalities it enables the horse to actively participate in the process of releasing tension in the key junctions that most affect performance. The intuitive and interactive nature of this work not only helps to improve performance, but also gives you access to a new level of communication with your horse.
Equine Craniosacral Therapy:
Craniosacral therapy is a light touch bodywork that restores balance to the Nervous System by addressing tension and disorders in the musculoskeletal system and soft tissue utilizing the craniosacral system. The craniosacral system is "the bones of the cranium, spine, and pelvis, and the soft tissues and fluid movement that connects the cranium (head) to the sacrum (pelvis)". Imbalance can affect the horses posture, behavior (emotions, trauma), general health and sensory perception - vision, sound, focus and proprioception. Craniosacral therapy improves body function and postural balance.
Growing up in Germany with a great passion for horses and their well being. I found my calling in the equine industry a few years ago as whole horse hoof care practitioner and bodyworker.
I am a certified whole horse natural hoof care practitioner, a field student in the process to become a certified Masterson Method practitioner, and have successfully completed level 1 of Shea Stewart's biodynamic craniosacral therapy. I have been traveling the country continuously attending clinics, apprenticing, attending conferences always learning. I have learned from great people such as Jim Masterson, Pete Ramey, Ida Hammer, Dr. Deb Bennett, Dr. Tomas Teskey, Shea Stewart and other great professionals in the hoof care and bodywork industry.
I strive to serve each horse as an individual with its individual needs and puzzle pieces.What worked for one may not work for another. We are all different and sometimes it takes a community to solve all the puzzle pieces to reach true balance and vitality.
