In June of 2017 after moving back to Yankton from living in KC for 10 years I wanted to share my love of fitness with others around me. I began with a facebook post and asked if anyone wanted to workout with me at the river. My first class was 3 women on a Monday night. From that day on the classes expanded to a large amount of women who empower eachother and hold eachother accountable. I couldn't allow this to end due to winter in the future so I decided to open Empower Fitness which will include a variety of fitness classes for people regardless of their fitness level.

Fox Run is one of the area's finest golf courses, offering plenty of opportunities for golfers at all levels. Leagues, tournaments, lessons, clinics, and open-play meet the needs for any golfer's enjoyment. Area youngsters are developed into golfers by participating in the First Tee Junior Program which includes lessons along with playing opportunities during the summer. Facilities include practice putting green, practice chipping green, practice sand bunker, driving range, and in the winter a golf simulator.
