Meet Fay Doe, Founder of Underground Culture
Underground Culture is founded by Fay Doe who was brought up in a low income housing estate in England. Fay is the youngest of 7 children and there was no money for bicycles, girl scouts or vacations growing up. Many teenagers on the estate wound up in trouble or pregnant or both!
Fay’s parents encouraged creativity especially her Father who would paint on old canvases or even wood. Music was always in the house her brothers played guitars and her sister sang, band practice was often held in the family room. Fay and her sisters all designed and sewed clothes, drew and painted.
Fay believes that the current lack of arts and music programs in schools leads to the less academic, athletic or fortunate youth into trouble and out of school.
