CC Soap House

Welcome to CC Soap House! Chase Chancellor’s Soap House! For those who don’t know Chase, he is enjoys swimming, kayaking, traveling (anywhere near or far), surfing the web, and of course gaming. He is a pretty easy going teenager who happens to have autism. For some years we have been looking for some activity that Chase could/would do with purpose and vocational possibilities. Fortunately, in his family and consumer science class, he got involved in making soap. He has always enjoyed pouring, mixing, and melting things, all activities involved in making soap. We were quite surprised at some of the first bars he made and brought home. One of his teachers (thanks Heather Fulmer) got us started on the path and after some months of experimenting with different methods and ingredients, CC Soap House is up and running.
This has been a learning process for sure and it has taken a while to get things just right. It took some time to learn what colors and scents worked together and what didn’t. If you know anything about Chase, he NEVER gets in a hurry. So we are definitely a small batch soapery. Also, if you know about autism, some days we get several hours in and sometimes we just don’t get much done. In addition to making the soap, he has also been learning to package and label each bar in a decorative wrap. This all takes time, so please bear with us if it takes us a while to get your orders filled. He works on first come, first serve basis but if you have some special event coming up and need it in a hurry……..well, he still doesn’t hurry, but we might bump you up on the list! As for pricing, we tried to keep our soap in the same price range with other custom homemade soaps. We use only the best scented oils and base materials which don’t come cheap. You can find cheaper soap out there but not handmade and not for such a good cause. He uses the money he makes to buy his materials (no free rides here) and puts back what is left for something special.
ORDERING-We are working on getting a website up but for right now we will just post here when he has a batch finished. If you would just respond/post with which scent you would like and how many. They are $4 each. We will have shipping for those out of area and will have some pricing on that up later today. We appreciate your support.
