Yoga has been a part of Julie’s life for over 13 years, helping her grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. Yoga continues to inspire Julie to live in the present moment with gratitude and awareness.

Julie started out as a student practicing Iyengar yoga once a week for several years. When relocating from London to Melbourne in 2010 in a tough period of her life, she discovered the flowing style of Vinyasa yoga and started going to class three times a week. Julie found that yoga got her through the low period and provided her with tools to live a more present and mindful life. It was at this time that she was inspired to create the yoga lifestyle brand, Surrender Yoga, which joined her love of yoga with her background as a fashion designer.

Julie completed a 200 hour teacher training with Routes of Yoga in Ubud, Bali in 2017. In her classes, Julie loves to combine creative sequencing, safe alignment cues and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. She seeks to help others thrive by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga, and her hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, centred and more in tune with your body.
