Dan Dague began his powerlifting career in 1980. He competed and trained at the most well known powerlifting gym in the world for many years. In 2004, Dan started his own gym and named it, Lexen Xtreme. He began training his daughter's friends who were football players for Grove City High School in his garage at home. He added a few of his adult friends and soon had so many members, he had to rent a building to house them all. In 2005, Dan was asked by the Head Football Coach, to take the position as Strength Training Coach for the team. In Dan's first year as Strength Coach, the team became OCC Champions. Dan remained as Strength Coach until 2008 while continuing to train kids and adults at his gym. As the original kids went off to college, he started downsizing the training for kids so that he would only have a few kids while increasing his adult powerlifting members. Lexen Xtreme has become one of the premier gyms for adult powerlifters in the country. Dan runs several meets each year under the IPA (International Powerlifting Association) and Dan's newly formed XPC (Xtreme Powerlifting Coalition). Dan is now developing training programs designed to help the older male live the most productive life possible. At 51 years young, Dan is still going strong himself. He still competes in powerlifting competitions and is ranked the #1 Powerlifter in the Country ages 50+.
