Minor Martial Arts Academy (Formally Impact Martial Arts) has been active in the Poteau community for over 20 years and continues to teach many young and older students the art and lifestyle of Tae-Kwon-Do. Started in 1990 by Master Jerry Lindsey (7th degree black belt) and wife, Judy Lindsey (5th degree black belt), it now is owned and operated by former employees (and still current students) of Master Lindsey. Jeremy Minor, 4th degree decided black belt, Devon Minor, 4th degree recommended black belt, and Damon Minor, 4th degree recommended black belt. Brothers, who continue to train together and have for the last 14 years at the same location. As new owners they strive to see their students learn the art of Tae-Kwon-Do and also to show them to live out the tenets of Tae-Kwon-Do and be respectful to everybody in every situation. Their faith in Jesus also motivates them to teach the kids at MMAA more important things than just a martial art.
