I am trained in a Yoga style that's called Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow but I have, of course, been influenced over the years by some of the other wonderful yoga styles in existence. I now provide a teaching flow that allows a complete beginner to ease comfortably into the practice whilst also offering more challenging poses to the seasoned practitioner.
The practice of Yoga in general provides a student with the opportunity to bring awareness to their physical body through breath while switching off from the workings of a busy mind. It can, therefore, be used as an active meditation bringing one to place of calm self-acceptance in difficult times! But in addition, with continued practice, the rythym and flow of the Vinyasa sequence can help to raise ones energy as it becomes a dance-like uplifting routine.

For Sports Conditioning and Recovery...

The practice of Yoga in the style of Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow incorporates a focused physical practice that is synchronized with the breath. This combination benefits every area of the body by bringing healing oxygen deeper into muscle tissue than would otherwise be possible.
Muscle tone is improved and the rate at which you recovery between sporting activities is increased. With continued practice you will notice your body correcting its own postural misalignment's and this will result in reduced injury potential.
Recovery postures incorporated into the practice are designed to re-align the body and release tension from over worked muscles.

A regular Yoga practice brings additional benefits... improved digestive function and a release of tension from key muscle groups of the chest, shoulders and neck area can help regulate mood and enhance concentration. The result is a finer athlete capable of greater endurance and a calmer approach to most daily activities.
