Irene Culliton was leading an accounts payable team at Siemens 10 years ago, when she was inspired by Maggie at The Body Bar to make a change in her life. Culliton loved how knowledgeable Maggie was on the beauty industry. However, what really struck her was how much Maggie knew about the body, health and wellness. Not many aestheticians focus on the inside. It was refreshing.

With this in mind Culliton registered for the Millennia Institute in Brampton where she learnt the core skills for being the beauty expert she is. Taking note of how the body works on the inside as well the surface.
Now after 10 years of practicing and 6.5 years with her Beauty Salon Skin ‘N” Tonic Culliton continues on going training to remain at the forefront of treatments, ingredients and technology. As well as beauty trends for application and services.

Culliton says that the best part of her job is “spending time with my clients because everyone has a story! I love helping to improve peoples skin because I can actually see the confidence they gain with each treatment”.
Customer service, consistency, product and treatment knowledge are her top priorities. “Experience is everything, people come to me because I am a professional”. This is apparent when watching one of the Bridal Parties, they set up the coffee bar area with food and drinks then hang out for a few hours while chatting, learning about beauty products and rituals while being pampered. Culliton says that “On some occasions the ladies break out the bubbles!”

When asking one of Culliton’s clients why they go to her they responded that “Irene is fun to spend a few hours with and she is skilled at what she does, she also has an incredibly nurturing nature. I’m fussy with colour and only wear black toe nail polish; on my third visit Irene had me out of black and onto something that resembled a rich mercury that reflected different colours in various lights. That is how much I trust Irene!”

Culliton is passionate about helping people, so her next step is to work for her Oncology Aesthetics Certification. This is exciting given she will be volunteering at the local hospital we look forward to seeing the outcome!
